This course provides a foundational overview of the Clery Act, the federal law requiring colleges and universities to report campus crime statistics and ensure transparency in campus safety policies. Participants will learn the purpose and scope of the Clery Act, key reporting obligations, the role of Campus Security Authorities (CSAs), and the types of crimes and locations that must be disclosed. The course also introduces basic compliance requirements, including timely warnings, emergency notifications, and the Annual Security Report (ASR). Ideal for new staff, administrators, and compliance professionals, this course concludes with a brief assessment and a certificate of completion.
