The new Title IX regulations allow for informal resolution in sexual misconduct matters and also require training for Informal Resolution Facilitators. This course includes the required training on the definition of sexual harassment, the scope of a school district’s education program or activity, how to conduct an informal resolution process and the different types of informal resolutions that may be considered, and how to fulfill the role and serve impartially, including avoiding prejudgment to the facts at issue, conflicts of interest, or bias. The course also discusses the Title IX process under the new regulations and the facilitator’s role in that process.
